The Chiefland High girls' varsity basketball team has gotten out of the gate slowly, losing its first two games of the season last week.
The home opener was last Thursday, Nov. 15, against Dixie County.
The Lady Indians suffered from poor shooting and the turnover bug in a 41-20 loss to the Lady Bears.
Chiefland was right in the game, only trailing 9-7 following a layup by Renashia Bowers. But Dixie ran off 11 straight points to build a comfortable 13-point pad.
