In last November’s elections, 63 percent of Florida’s voters said they wanted to take the politics out of the process used to draw up congressional district lines in the state.
Despite the mandate, the power-hungry leaders of the Florida Legislature are now doing everything they can to ignore the vote of the people. Their efforts are deplorable.
We are also disappointed Gov. Rick Scott seems to have already bowed to the whims of the Florida Legislature leaders. We thought he went to Tallahassee to try to change things.
