The Chiefland High baseball team didn't have much time to mope about the previous night's (March 20) disaster at Williston.
The Indians had to get right back after it the next night (March 21), as they played host to Bronson.
There was blowing a lead this time, as Chiefland cruised to a 14-2 non-district victory.
The game only went five innings because of the mercy rule.
Chiefland (10-2) had single tallies in the first and second innings and then blew it open with a six-run third frame.
That was plenty of support for senor righthander Dan Galpin, who threw four innings to imprive to 3-1.
Clenton Wasson appeared on the hill for the second time this season, as he fired the fifth inning. The sophomore righthander was sharp, striking out three batters and hitting one.
The losing pitcher was Alan Brooks, who was lifted after 2 2/3 innings. He allowed eight hits and hit four batters.
Dane Cothron led off the bottom of the first by reaching via error. He stole secon and went to third on a wild pitch before scoring on a single by Ory Pitts.
