The Humane Society of Levy County invites all chili cooks to participate at the 3rd Annual Bark-N-Purr Charity Concert sponsored by Bubba Que’s & Hungry Howie’s on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Bronson Youth League Park, 220 Picnic St, Bronson, FL.
Individuals or teams may choose to cook and bring their best pot of chili to the event to be judged on appearance, taste, aroma and texture. There are thousands of types of chili. All can be entered. From Texas Style, (all meat & spices and never a bean in sight.), to American Style, (ground beef, tomatoes, & beans) to White Chili, (made with Chicken), to Vegetarian Style, (made with no meat) There are no limits. The Grand Champion winner will receive $250; the People’s Choice winner will receive $100.
The final deadline to register for the Chili Cook-Off is Feb. 19 and entry forms and rules and regulations are available at the Humane Society of Levy County website, www.humanesocietyoflevycounty.com. This year’s Chili Cook-Off will include free samples to the public.
