So, Gov. Rick Scott announces last week that he's going to hunt down $500 million in tax cuts so he can lower our tax bills. But first he wants to hear from us on what can be cut.
What is the first thing he does? He jumps on a plane, flies around the state and holds listening sessions.
So how much is the trip and all the press releases and videos costing us? Could that be a tax cut we could use?
Scott might have done better to ask us to e-mail suggestions or write a letter or call his office on an 800 number.
He could have asked our legislators to collect suggestions. After all, they will have to pass legislation making many of those tax and fee cuts.
I just don't get this act.
