The grand opening for the newest Haven Hospice Attic will be Saturday, March 10, at 9 a.m. Chiefland is proud to be the home of Haven’s fourth attic. A Haven Hospice Attic resale store sells gently used items: clothing, electronics, appliances, housewares, furniture and more. Haven’s Attics are sure to hold some treasures.
Haven Hospice is planning fun activities for this grand opening. It will be held at 112 Rodgers Blvd. in Chiefland. WKTK-FM, featuring Storm Roberts, will be broadcasting onsite from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will also be a bounce house available for the kids, along with hot dogs, soft drinks and popcorn. The activities run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The grand opening will also be a terrific chance for the community to come out and donate. Haven accepts good quality items of any of the following:
gently used furniture, clothing, collectibles, electronics, books, housewares, antiques, jewelry, toys and more.
The opportunities do not end at donations, however. This grand opening will be an excellent chance for the community to come out and shop. The Attic is already stocked full of items ready for the community to explore. And, as is the case with all Haven’s Attic resale stores, all the funds from the resale of donations stay in the local community to support unfunded patient care and programs. Haven provided more than $250,000 in unfunded and unreimbursed care to patients and families in the tri-county area in 2011.
Come one, come all. March 10 is definitely a day to mark on the calendar.
