The Haven Alliance presented Haven Hospice with a check for $21,140 at their annual membership luncheon on May 5 at the E.T. York Hospice Care Center in Gainesville.
The Alliance raised the funds through membership dues and the 10th Annual Styles for Life Fashion Show. All funds benefit Haven’s unfunded programs and services such as Camp Safe Haven, a day camp for children and teens who are coping with the loss of a loved one.
The Alliance also elected a new president and vice president at the luncheon. Incoming officers are President Nancy Ingram, and Vice President Linda Kurtz. The outgoing president is Mary Martsolf and outgoing vice president is Diane Heaney.
The Alliance is a group of volunteers who promote and support Haven Hospice through fundraising, special events, volunteerism and community education. Membership in the Alliance includes many benefits.
Dues of $30 per year support the chapter and its endeavors in the community. For more information about the Alliance, contact Stephanie Brod in the Development Department at Haven Hospice at 352-378-2121.
