Halloween falls on a Wednesday this year, normally a church meeting night, so some groups and municipalities have shifted their celebrations around to accommodate both events.
There will not be a Trail of Treats in Williston this year.
The Williston Chamber of Commerce, the longtime sponsor of the event, elected not to host the event this year due to safety concerns and financial obligations.
