Graduation season kicks off this week

It's that time of year, high school graduation in Levy County. The Class of 2014 is walking down the aisle to pick up diplomas and begin a new stage of life in college, enjoying summer or going to work. 

The first public school to graduate is Summit Academy in Bronson with ceremonies on Friday, May 30, at 6 p.m. at the school.

The next day, Saturday, May 31, Cedar Key bids adieu to 13 seniors in ceremonies beginning at 9 a.m. in the school gym. 

Bronson Middle High School will start the next week of graduations with a ceremony at the Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Gainesville on Monday, June 2, at 7 p.m.

Williston High School, which also holds its ceremony at the Phillips Performing Arts Center in Gainesville, will award diplomas on Tuesday, June 3, at 7 p.m. 

Hilltop School holds its ceremonies at the school in Bronson on Thursday, June 5, at 6 p.m. 

The last graduation will be for the Chiefland Middle High School Class of 2014 on Friday, June 6, at 7 p.m. at Wayne Pridgeon Football Stadium at the school.
