Gator football ticket drawing to raise money for abused children

GAINESVILLE — The Child Advocacy Center in Gainesville is selling entries into a drawing for a pair of tickets to one of three University of Florida home football games.  

A limited number of entries are available for a suggested donation of $20 until 5 p.m. on Aug. 14. Three winning entries will be drawn at the Center on Aug. 15.

Three winners will be drawn. Winners will receive a pair of tickets in Section 6 to one of the following UF Home Games:

• Saturday, Sept. 21 — Tennessee

• Saturday, Oct. 5 — Arkansas

• Saturday, Nov. 9 — Vanderbilt

   All donations are tax deductible and will support programs and services for abused and neglected children. Winners need not be present to win.

   The Child Advocacy Center is a community-based, child-focused Center that facilitates a compassionate, multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, identification, investigation, prosecution and treatment of child abuse. The Child Advocacy Center provides therapy, case management, case tracking, multidisciplinary staffings and specialized forensic interviewing of child victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional abuse and severe forms of neglect. The Center also works with non-offending caregivers and siblings as they begin to heal from abuse and consider alternatives to violence in their homes.
