It seems like every day, the price of a barrel of crude oil goes up, which translates into the price per gallon of gasoline soaring to record highs.
As of Monday, the price of a barrel of oil skied to $110 - $48 higher than March of '07.
The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded was $3.28 a gallon and diesel $3.97 a gallon.
The Gulf Coast averages were a bit lower - $3.17 and $3.91 respectively - but the prices Monday in Chiefland did not necessarily reflect that.
