There aren’t many things in life that are guaranteed.  But starting this week, parents can purchase a Florida Prepaid College Plan that is financially guaranteed by the state of Florida.

With this safe and secure way to save for children’s higher education, families don’t have to worry about tuition increases or the credit crunch, and they cannot lose their money when they purchase a Florida Prepaid College Plan.

The Florida Prepaid College Board started its 2009-2010 annual enrollment period on Monday, Oct. 19. The new Florida Prepaid College Plan prices, posted at www.myfloridaprepaid.com, are available  until the sign-up deadline of January 31, 2010.

With college tuition representing just 16 percent of the total cost for attending a public university in Florida, four flexible plans are available through Florida Prepaid College Plan, which is comprised of tuition, tuition differential fee, local fees and dormitory housing to help cover the cost of a college education.

“Once your family has purchased a Prepaid College Plan, your payments are fixed and never increase,” said Chairman Duane Ottenstroer of the Florida Prepaid College Board.
