U.S. Army Captain Angelique Ledesma presented Acting Commander Richard Bater of AmVets Post 422 in Chiefland with a flag last Wednesday during a ceremony at the post. The flag was flown over Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan on Sept. 1. Capt. Ledesma presented the flag to thank Post 422 for sending toiletries and other needed goods to the troops. The post's Ladies Auxiliary organized the gifts. "Post 422 really appreciates what she's done for this country," Bater said before the ceremony.
