Fire Chief: Why you see the fire truck everywhere you go

The City of Chiefland and Chiefland Fire and Rescue are in the process of preparing to finalize our budget for the 2009/2010 fiscal year. In doing so I presented a budget to the commissioners that had no increases to the city portion of our budget.

This budget will be used to run approximately 1,500 calls located both inside outside of the Chiefland City limits. Our figures for 2009/2010 are as follows:

City of Chiefland $188,261 currently this figure is $188,632.29 for 2008/2009.
