Chiefland FFA students traveled to Daytona earlier this month to strengthen leadership skills.
On Sept. 7-8, Maddilyn Johnson (7th grade), Sydney Allen (8th grade), and Sarah Edison (12th grade), along with FFA advisors Dallas Locke and Matthew Detloff and Assistant Principal Joelene Vining, traveled to attend the Chapter Presidents Conference to learn leadership skills that the young women were able to bring back to the chapter to share with other members.
One in attendance claimed that she learned that you do not have to be in a position of office to be able to take a stand and help your chapter out. The chapter has only nine officers but 110 members and cannot depend on its officer team to accomplish everything on its own. The chapter needs members that are willing and ready to help, and it depends on these members to make chapter dreams become reality.
