Kindergartners take on bunny project

Regina Newton's kindergarten class at Chiefland Elementary School entered their class bunny, Thumper, in the Swwannee River Fair's rabbit show and two students who represented the class at the fair attended class in their official 4-H attire to pass out participation ribbons to the entire class--20 students--for completing a four-page Cloverbud rabbit project record book.

This is Newtons's first year as a leader. Student Chasity Roy owns Thumper, but he lives here at school Monday-Friday and she takes him home on the weekends. The class is now working on projects for the Levy County Fair in April.
