The Friends of the A.F. Knotts Library invites the public to join the January activities that  the under-recognized talent of black artists of another age through books, films and a live performance.  The A.F. Knotts Public Library at 11 56th St., Yankeetown, is the place to meet.
Tuesday, Jan. 10, at 8 p.m. the award-winning film by Vincent Minnelli “Cabin in the Sky” will be shown. This 1943 musical film has an all black cast which includes singer Lena Horne, Ethel Waters and Eddie “Rochester” Anderson.
