Tri-County student on FIT dean's list
Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne announced Lindsey Hastie of Trenton and Tyler Smith of Bell have been named to its Deans List for the spring semester 2009.
To be included on the Dean's List, a student must complete 12 or more graded credits in a semester with a semester grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.4.

CF Levy Center to
offer Microsoft Office Basics
The College of Central Florida Levy Center will offer Microsoft Office Basics, the ideal computer class for persons seeking employment in an office environment. The class will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 5-28, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Levy Center, 114 Rodgers Blvd., Chiefland.
This course presents an introduction to the most popular Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel and Power Point. Students should already have basic computer skills before enrolling in this class. The course fee is $159.

CF Levy Center to offer
conversational Spanish course
The College of Central Florida Levy Center will offer Conversational Spanish for Teachers and School Administrators on Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 5-28, from 3 to 5 p.m.
This course will help teachers and administrators communicate simply and effectively with Spanish-speaking students and their families. No prior Spanish experience is necessary. There are no grammar, verb conjugations or complicated rules to learn. This course is eligible for in-service points from the Levy County School Board.
The course fee is $119. The textbook with two audio CDs may be purchased at the first class for approximately $30.
