BRONSON - Fifteen individuals were arrested in the East Williston area Dec. 6 on drug charges, according to Levy County Sheriff's Office spokesman Lt. Evan Sullivan.
The Drug Task Force, which consists of officers from the Levy County Sheriff's Office and the Chiefland Police Department, have been investigating and buying narcotics in the East Williston area.
A search and seizure operation netted $3,400 worth of drugs, $1,474 in cash, two vehicles and one firearm, Sullivan said.
The three-hour roundup busted 15 people on 45 felony charges, two misdemeanor arrests and two warrant arrest, Sullivan said.
Levy County Sheriff Johnny M. Smith Jr. has a zero-tolerance policy for any crime, Sullivan said. He recognizes drug activities impact the community in burglaries, thefts and robberies, Sullivan added.
