Dotti South and the Slackers have been invited to perform on the outdoor stage in the square at Tioga Town Center just west of Gainesville on Sunday, June 27 from 3 to – 7 p.m. The Tioga Town Center is offering a Family Concert Series the last Sunday of the month through August. The concerts are family friendly and concert-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and a picnic basket to enjoy the evening of live music. The concerts are part of Tioga Town Center’s Summer Entertainment Series. The Center is also offering Movies on the Square on the second Friday of the month at dusk. These Summer Series events are free and open to the public. Dotti South and the Slackers is a local group from the Dixie County area comprised of Dotti Leichner, on bass and vocals, and Bob Leichner on drums. Also in the band is Bruce Miller, on guitar and vocals, and Ted Patrick, on keyboards and vocals. The Slackers perform an eclectic mix of musical styles from country and blues, to Motown and rock and roll, along with some original songs thrown into the mix.
