Do you know someone that has made a noteworthy contribution to the community? Someone who has gone out of their way and beyond to help others? A person who demonstrates a dedication to accomplishing encouraging achievements?
The Greater Chiefland Area Chamber of Commerce wants to hear from you. Anyone in the community who would like to nominate a person for the 2012 Citizen of the Year can submit a letter of recommendation, or call the Chamber office for a nomination form designed to help with the write-up.
This special citizen could display a broad range of contribution and achievement, or be an individual unparalleled in a commitment to provide for one particular cause. It is important that you give specific examples and details about what your nominee has done to stand out above others. Please list any activities, contributions, results and achievements which deserve honors and awards, memberships in civic and professional organizations. The candidate must be at least 18 years old and must reside in the Chiefland area. The Citizen of the Year award will be presented at the Chamber's upcoming annual banquet on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
