Manuel Alejandro Marmolejos found himself with more than car trouble on Saturday, April 21, when Levy Sheriff's Deputy Matthew King stopped to help him, according to a Levy Sheriff's Office press release,
When the deputy stopped to assist Marmolejos with a white Honda CRV on the side of the road in the Chiefland area  he smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. King asked Marmolejos if he had anything in the car that was illegal and Marmolejos said no.
King explained that he could smell the odor of marijuana. Marmolejos produced a gas mask with a pipe attached to the mask and said he used the gas mask and pipe to smoke marijuana. The gas mask had residue that tested positive for marijuana.
Marmolejos, 20, of Tampa, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and transported to the Levy County Jail.
