The CWGA sent five members of our group to play in the third outing of the “Gator” competition, held at the University of Florida Course in Gainesville on Nov. 8.

Our President, Carol Healy, played really well and came home with the Low Net prize in her flight.  Lil O’Donnell, Freida Martin, Marilee Leonard and Janet True also played this tough course but none of us could manage a winning score.  The greens are really slick and every hole seems to be playing uphill.

On Nov. 9, we had 27 of our members at the Chiefland Golf and Country Club, continuing our annual Handicap Championship matches and the side game of Low Net competition. There were still twelve ladies vying for this title. The balance of the group played in the low net game.

Jeannie Clark won First Low Net in the First Flight with a great net score of 69. Second place went to Patsy Sheppard with a net score of 74.

The Second Flight was won by Adrienne Snyder with a net score of 68.  Second prize went to Barbara Currence with the score of 71.

Betty Beck won the Third flight with a net score of 68. Janet True came in second with a net score of 74.

We had eight members share the chip-in prize during this outing and four of our players had birdies.

The Handicap Championship will continue until the end of this month when a final champion will be crowned.
