 q Men's conference at Elohim Praise

  Bishop Curtis Stacy and the men of Elohim Praise Worship and Deliverance Ministries celebrate the first Men's Conference on Friday, Oct. 21, through Sunday, Oct. 23.  On Friday, building Men of Valor is at 7:30 p.m. with Apostle Stephen Jennings of Palatka.

  On Saturday, at 11 a.m. Minister Joseph Henderson of Chiefland and Pastor Gerard Duncan of Gainesville will speak, then at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Richard Langsford of Chiefland will bring a special message. 

  On Sunday at 5 p.m. Pastor Alec Richardson of Dunnellon will talk.

q Bronson COG fish fry 

  The Bronson Church of God will have a fish fry on Friday, Oct. 21. Plates will be $7 each and will include fish, hushpuppies, cole slaw, grits and dessert.

q Fall festival at Joppa Baptist

  Joppa Baptist Church's Fall Festival is Saturday Oct. 22,  from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the church grounds.

  There will be food, fellowship, hayride, music and games for the whole family. Everything is free. 

Joppa is located at 165th St., Fanning Springs.


q Community service at Hardeetown Baptist

  The Chiefland Ministerial Association would like to invite everyone to a Community Service  at 6 p.m.  at Hardeetown Baptist Church. The association is collecting canned goods and food staples at the service for to help feed the needy in our area. q Fall festival at FBC Chiefland

  Fall Festival at First Baptist Church of Chiefland, Sunday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. Fun games, tons of candy and food.


q First UMC Chiefland trunk-n-treat

  First United Methodist Church of Chiefland is sponsoring a Trunk-N-Treat on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the field behind the church on U.S/ Hughway 27A. Participants should arrive to set up their trunks no later than 6 p.m.

   Families are invited to join the congregation for a safe night of trick or treating. Jackets, sweaters, sweatshirts and hoodies will also be distributed.


q St. John Missionary Baptist revival

  St. John Missionary Baptist Church will hold a revival tonight and Friday, Oct. 21. The church's pastor, the Rev. Jose` R. Cuevas, hosts the Rev. Benny McLeod of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, of Fort Myers, as guest speaker.

q Old Town Methodist yard, bake sale

  Old Town Methodist Women will hold their annual yard and bake sale Friday, Nov. 4, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 5, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be clothing, including some nice coats for the cold weather, books, knick-knacks and more. 

  The bake table will have homemade pies, cakes, bread and cookies. 

  The United Methodist Men will  serve refreshments and lunch.
