The Chiefland Police Department needs help from the community to help fund a program aimed at child safety and drug education.
The program will also include content on bullying, I.D. theft, Internet safety and the safety of senior citizens.
The program materials have been designed by the National Child Safety Council, and CPD officials are asking community members and businesses to help pay the estimated $3-per-child expense.
Those who contribute will be listed on the prestige page of all activity manuals.
