BRONSON - Employees of the Levy County Board of County Commissioners will find it easier to run for office as a result of a policy amendment on Feb. 19.
A policy adopted in 2004 noted in part that, "Employees who run for elected public office will be placed on a leave of absence on the date they open a campaign account through the Supervisor of Elections Office to run for public office or the date of filing qualification, whichever happens earlier."
