Transportation Board Meeting
The Levy County Transportation Disadvantaged Coordinating Board will meet Thursday, Jan. 24 at 10 a.m. at Chiefland City Hall.
The annual public meeting and the board meeting are open to the public.
Saturday, Jan. 26
Chili Cook-off
The Cedar Key Eagles will host a chili cook-off Saturday, Jan. 26 at the clubhouse.
There is a $5 entry fee per pot of chili and pre-registration at the clubhouse is required.
Entries should be delivered between 10:30-11:30 a.m. and serving begins at 12:30 p.m.
Tasters can have a cup for $1 or a bowl for $3.
First prize for the best chili is $45; second place earns $35 and third place will take home $25.
Chili Cook-off
SAVA's Fourth Annual Chili Cook-off will be held Jan. 26 at Sarah's Suwannee CafUs The cook-off will be from 1-4 p.m. and judging will be at 4:30 p.m.
The cost is $6 to judge entries and for all the chili you can eat.
All proceeds go to Suwannee's fireworks show.
