Chiefland Senior Citizen
Center activities
The Chiefland Senior Center located at 305 S.W. 1st St., behind the Deer Camp Store on South Main Street, has free activities.
On Monday and Wednesday, exercise is at 9 a.m.; Monday has bridge at 10 a.m.; Tuesday and Thursday has bingo, from 9 a.m. to noon; Wednesday has a crafts class at 10 a.m. to noon, and Friday has Line Dancing at 10 a.m. to noon.
Shine volunteers stop by every third Wednesday to help with Medicare questions and information from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
Hot meals are served each weekday at noon.

The Withlacoochee Regional Planning Commission Board meeting is cancelled due to lack of general business at this time. The next meeting will be Thursday, July 18, at 7 p.m.

Knitters, crocheters gather
A knitting and crocheting group also meets at 2:30 p.m. on Fridays at the Bronson Public Library on U.S. 27A.
Classy cars at Taco Bell
The Tri-County Cruisers Club meets to show off its classic vehicles from 6:30-8 p.m. on Fridays at Taco Bell on North Young Boulevard, Chiefland. Just show up to show your car and have a good time.
Jackpot bingo

Auditions for SVP production
“Blithe Spirit,” written by the winner of the 2009 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Revival, Noel Coward, will be coming to the Chief Theatre, home of the Suwannee Valley Players.
Actors are needed to audition on Saturday at 10 a.m. and Tuesday, June 25, at 7 p.m. Show dates are Sept. 6-8 and 13-15.

Benefit fish fry in Williston
WE SOAR, Inc. will be sponsoring a fish fry fund-raiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jones Temple Church of God in Christ, 754 N.E. 9th St. Lunches are $7 each and include fish, a choice of two sides – baked beans, coleslaw, or grits and bread.
All proceeds will benefit the organization’s programs for the youth and community.

The Children's Table facility at 680 W. Thrasher Dr, Bronson, will be open to area seniors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A light lunch will be served.
Stamp club
The Gen. Francis Marion Stamp Club meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the month at 1 p.m. at the Bank of the Ozarks, 8375 S.W. Highway 200, in Ocala. Doors open at noon. Veterans open house
All veterans are invited to American Legion Post 91 Meeting Hall every Wednesday from 7 to 9 a.m. for free donuts and coffee during the weekly Veterans Open House. The post is located on U.S. Highway 129 between the towns of Trenton and Bell (across the highway from the “Field of Dreams”).
TOPS meeting

Chiefland Chamber meeting
The Greater Chiefland Area Chamber of Commerce membership meeting is at noon, in the Haven Hospice meeting room located at 311 N.E. 9th St. (off of Hwy 27). A buffet lunch will be provided compliments of “Dream Builders USA” owned and operated by Kim and Annette Derks. Chamber members are invited to the monthly meetings to share updated information, welcome our newest members to the chamber, meet 'n' greet with other fellow chamber members and listen to the speaker of the month all while enjoying a free lunch.

CK Keyhole Gallery
The Cedar Key Keyhole, 457 2nd Street (across from the Library) in Cedar Key, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and maintains a display of many works by more than 20 contributors to its artists’ cooperative. These works include paintings (oils, acrylics, pastels and watercolors), metal works, stained glass, jewelry, fiber arts, leatherwork, pottery and woodworking, among others. Busy Bees
Busy Bees meet at Old Town United Methodist Church on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month from 1-3 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. There will be crafting, quilting, crocheting, knitting and all kinds of needle and handwork. There are different materials to share if you would like to learn. Busy Bees donates hats, lap robes and other items made to organizations and those in need. Novices are welcome, as well as, experienced crafters. Bring your crafts, needles, yarn, patterns, ideas and questions. Open to all, no age or gender restrictions.
