Friday, May 22 Watermelon contestants needed The Chiefland Watermelon Festival, which will be held on Saturday, June 6, needs girls ages 6-10 to enter the Little Princess Pageant. Applications must be filled out by Friday. For information call 493-0911 or 221-5853. Shoe drive in Cross City There will be a shoe drive held at the Cross City Church of God, May 22 and 23 from noon to 4 p.m. The shoes collected will help an orphan. Shoes of all sizes are needed.
