Comeback stuns Dixie County

GAINESVILLE _What a great night for Chiefland High volleyball!

Facing elimination with their backs to the wall, the Lady Indians reached down and won three straight games over rival Dixie County in Tuesday night's thrilling Class 3A District 5 semifinal at a hot and sticky gym at P.K. Yonge High.

The scores were 15-25, 22-25, 25-13, 25-18, 16-14.

The victory advances Chiefland to Thursday's 7 p.m. championship against the winner of Tuesday's late match between top-seed and host P.K. Yonge and fifth-seed Fort White.
