AMVETS Post 42, of Chiefland, plans to stage the first-ever Combat Veterans Motorcycle Florida Fall Rally, Saturday, Sept. 28, with the first bike out at 10:30 a.m
Registration will start at 9 a.m. at the AMVETS Post, 14472 N.W. Hwy. 19, across from Dakota Winery.
The 75-mile event is a Texas hold 'em run through the scenic roads of Levy County to Cedar Key and Fowlers Bluff. Bikers, upon returning to the post, will be treated to to the music of "Corey and Company" and a BBQ pork dinner, which will start at 4 p.m.
The cost is $15 per driver and $10 per rider, which includes dinner and music.
All proceeds from the event will go to the Florida Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association Benevo-lence Fund.

The Florida Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association is part of a nationwide organization whose goal is to help American veterans. The group is not a club and membership and events are open to the general public.
