CMS gets new flowerbeds

-A A +A

Chiefland Middle School was lucky to start the school year with new landscaping.  Just one week before school started, the northeast corner of CMS’s main building was bleak and barren.

When school started on Aug. 23, CMS had three new flower beds, including shrubs, annuals, ornamental trees, landscape timbers and mulch.  The funds for the plants and timbers were made possible through discretionary monies from Levy County School Board Member, Paige Brookins, and Calvary Worship Center in Chiefland.  Three pallets of mulch were donated by OldCastle Lawn & Garden in Cross City.

CMS staff members and local students worked hard to prepare the beds for the first day of school.  CMS would like to extend a great big thank you to Brookins, Calvary Worship Center, and OldCastle Lawn & Garden for their  generous contributions.  Also, CMS appreciates all those who contributed with their time, effort, and hard work in the hot sun.
