Businessman Donald Trump was the unofficial big winner in the Republican presidential primary voting in Levy County as he received 57.64 percent of the Republican vote. He was far ahead of his only challengers in the race for the GOP nomination, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz with 19.62 percent, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio with 15.30 percent and Ohio Gov. John Kasich with 3.9 percent.
On the Democratic side former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was barely ahead of her rival Sen. Bernie Sanders with 50.03 percent of the vote to his 43.15 percent.
