The Statewide Clam Industry Task Force is made up of representatives from the various shellfish growing areas in Florida. Their last meeting of the year will be held at the Community Center in Cedar Key on Wednesday, October 14.
Agenda items include Interstate Shellfish Sanitation Conference issues, implementation of consent of use for aquaculture docks, Working Waterfronts legislation, development of a CARES program for clam growers through the Suwannee River Partnership, and more. In addition, there will be status reports given from each growing area.
