Greater Chiefland Area Chamber of Commerce President Patrick Allen, left, presents the 2012 Citizen of the Year award to Rob Alexander. Alexander is past president of the Chamber, a softball and baseball coach for CAAA, a member and past president of the Chiefland Rotary Club, member of First Baptist Church, the Chiefland Centennial Celebration committee, and Chiefland Quarterback Club. The Chamber also created and presented a new award, the Humanitarian of the Year. The first recipient is Kelli Baylor, who received the award from Allen. Baylor, left, was honored for donating a kidney to a Chiefland resident who has Berger's disease. The awards were presented at a banquet Tuesday at Usher Community Center.
