n St. John the Evangelist Church fish dinner
Dine-in or take-out fish fry dinners will be sold 5-7 p.m. Friday at St. John the Evangelist Church in Chiefland.
The menu is tilapia, grits, baked beans, French fries, cole slaw, hush puppies, dessert and beverage. Cost is $5 for children and $7 for adults.
The church is at 4050 N.W. Highway 27A, going towards Bronson. For information, call 352-493-9723
Proceeds benefit the St. Vincent De Paul food closet. A donation of non- perishable food items is appreciated.

n Medford speaks at Chiefland Baptist
Amos Medford will speak April 3 at the 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. services at Chiefland Baptist Church, 12451 N.W. 85th Ave., Chiefland. There will be an emphasis on youth at the 6 p.m. service which will be followed with a pizza and dessert fellowship.
The church is celebrating "Steeple and People Sunday" in honor of Jack and Barbara Michael.
Pastor Marty Medford leads the Independent Baptist Church that uses the 400th Anniversary King James Bible for preaching and teaching.

Divine Mercy Thrift Store is open every Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, U.S. Hughway 19, Cross City. The store is having a sale on Saturday.

n Rodeo roundup
Lighthouse Word Church is hosting a rodeo roundup Sunday, March 27 at 10:30 a.m. A barbeque dinner will be offered after a roping demonstration, and there will also be a kiddie train and a nursery. For more information, call 493-1554.
