Harvest Festival at Lighthouse Word
The Harvest Festival at Lighthouse Word Church is Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. All rides and game booths are free, including; face painting, bungee run, mechanical bull, kidie train, giant rock climbing wall, giant slide, and a jump house. There will also be live entertainment, a cake walk, a dessert auction and door prizes. In addition, there will be food concessions, including cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, hot dogs and chili.

Red Roots at Long
Pond Baptist
Red Roots musical group consists of triplets Natalie, Nika and Nicole who have evolved into a band whose mission is to use music to spread the truth and love of Jesus Christ.
The group will perform a live concert at Long Pond Baptist Church, located just off of County Road 345, Chiefland, on Sunday at 6 p.m.
Tune in to WTBH 91.5 FM,which has its home at Long Pond Baptist Church, on Friday at 11 a.m. for the Southern Spotlight featuring music from their debut album and an interview with the trio.
The group takes its name from their hair color and from their faith that is rooted in the blood shed by Christ.
The group has been nominated for Horizon’s group of the year award. Their first two singles from their debut project charted in the Singing News Chart.

Good Shepherd fall bazaar, bake sale
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church holds its annual Fall Bazaar and Bake Sale on Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 12, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.. There will be lots of items for sale. Come browse for a treasure or a cute craft to give for Christmas. The church is located on U.S. Highway 19 North, next to the Dakota Winery.
First UMC Chiefland fundraiser
The SunShine Disciple group of First United Methodist Church of Chiefland will hold a cookie and crafts bazaar to raise money for its missions and community charities. The bazaar will be Saturday, Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall, 707 N. Main St., Chiefland.
In addition to the cookies, there will be gifts in a jar, lap quilts, plants, flowers, Christmas ornaments and decorations and a white elephant sale.
