UMC welcomes
back Rev. McClelland

The Rev. Lloyd McClelland will be the guest pastor at First United Methodist Church in Chiefland on March 20 at the 10:15 morning worship service.  A short reception will follow to allow former friends to visit with him.  He was pastor  in Chiefland from 1977 to 1980. This continues the year-long celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Methodist Church in Chiefland.

Medford speaks at
Chiefland Baptist

Amos Medford will speak April 3 at the 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. services at Chiefland Baptist Church at 12451 N.W. 85th Ave., Chiefland. There will be an emphasis on youth at the 6 p.m. service which will be followed with a pizza and dessert fellowship. The services are open to the community.
The church is celebrating "Steeple and People Sunday" in honor of Jack and Barbara Michael.
Pastor Marty Medford leads the Independent Baptist Church that uses the 400th Anniversary King James Bible for preaching and teaching.
Thrift shop at church
Divine Mercy Thrift Store is open every Saturday 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, U.S. Highway 19, Cross City. The store is having a sale on Saturday.

St. Patrick’s Day celebration
St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, located about 5 miles north of WalMart) will have a St. Patrick’s Day celebration March 20 at 10:30 a.m.
World-renowned bagpipe player Bill Siemon will perform during and after the service. Wear you colors, tartans or kilts. There will be a potluck dinner after the service and the public is encouraged to attend.
