Walk To Bethlehem

   There will be a Walk to Bethlehem, Dec. 9 - 23, from 7 - 9 p.m., with Living Water Life Center, in Morriston. The event is free and takes place at 4551 S.E. SR121, Morriston, between CR 326 and CR 464.

The event, a narrated journey, represents the journey presumed to have taken place by Mary and Joseph just prior to the birth of Christ.

  All are welcome to come out and stroll through the Christmas fantasyland, check out the many new displays, see Santa and enjoy refreshments, in addition to joining a caravan on the journey to Bethlehem.

Chiefland First UMC 

has busy month 

   The following activities are coming up in November and December for First United Methodist Church of Chiefland, 707 N. Main St. For more information, call 352-493-4627.

 

• Tonight - Community Christmas Bonfire and Caroling Event - We’ll sit around the fire, sing our favorite carols like Silent Night and Jingle Bells, toast marshmallows, drink hot chocolate and enjoy fellowship with the entire community. This event is open to anyone, so come join the fun!

 

• Dec. 22 - 23 - Christmas Cantata - Come join us as we sing the songs of Emmanuel, Celebrating Heaven’s Child by Joel Lindsey. This is a favorite of many and will fill your heart with joy as we celebrate our Savior’s birth in song.


Candlelight service 

Christmas Eve

   A candlelight service will be held on Christmas Eve, Dec 24, at 6 p.m., at Parsons Memorial Presbyterian Church. The church is located by the Coast Guard Station on Riverside Dr. in Yankeetown.

Come and enjoy a nice service, plus refreshments and fellowship after the service.

Celebrate Recovery with 

faith-based program

   Celebrate Recovery is a non-profit program offered free of charge to anyone that is seeking help, with no discrepancy concerning race or ethnic background. The program does not teach denomination or any specific doctrine.

   Faith Baptist Church, located on 55A in Old Town, is pleased to offer this program on the 1st and 3rd Fridays at 7 p.m.
