 n Judgement House

   The young adult group at Lighthouse Word Church will be presenting their first Judgement House on Friday, Oct. 29 - Sunday, Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., at the old bowling alley located at 1545 N.W. 26th Ave., behind All Seasons Heating and Air off U.S. Highway 19 in Chiefland.  Bring your friends and family.  Call James Blacketeer at 352-356-1008 for more information.


n Peace Lutheran resumes Bible study 

   Peace Lutheran Church resumed Sunday morning Adult Bible Study and Sunday School, at 9 a.m.  The adult class is  studying the parables.  Everyone is welcome. 

   Other Bible Study groups meet on Wednesday at 10 a.m., and at 6:30 p.m.  The 6:30 group enjoys a potluck meal prior to Bible study. 

  Peace Lutheran Church (the church on the hill) is located 5 miles north of Dunnellon, at 7201 S Highway 41.  Sunday worship is at 10 a.m.

n Harvest Festival at Lighthouse Word

It's Harvest Festival time at Lighthouse Word Church on Sat., Nov. 6 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.  All rides and game booths are free, including face painting, bungee run, mechanical bull, kidee train, giant rock climbing wall, giant slide, and two jump houses. There will be live entertainment lincluding comedian and NASCAR Chaplain Barry McGee, a cake walk and auction, and lots of door prizes.  

   There will be plenty of food concessions, including cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones, hot dogs and chili.

n PiZZa-Pa-LOO-ZZa, the creative event

   North Chiefland Church of God is hosting PiZZa-Pa-LOO-ZZa on Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. at the church located on U.S. Highway 19, across from Chiefland Dodge.

   Those attending  get to design their own pizza using a wide variety of available ingredients. The pizza will be cooked while participants enjoy music, fellowship and games. 

   The pizzas will be judged for tastiness and eye appeal and winners will receive a $25 gift certificate to the Island Hotel & Restaurant in Cedar Key.
