n The Bronson Church of God is having their annual God and Country Day, July 4th. The event will kick off at 5 p.m. There is no charge to participate.  Here is just a sample of the exciting activities you and your family can participate in. Gospel Music, water games for all ages, bounce house, beanbag toss, dunk tank (pastor inside), volleyball, horseshoes, arts and craft sale, baked goods auction. Also we will have a contest for the “Best Decorated ‘Little Red Wagon’” for ages four and under. Hot Dogs and refreshments will also be available.  We would like to thank Kenneth and Kathy Bedford for helping us make this day special by providing the Fire Works. Please make this day safe by parking in the field located at the Bronson Church of God. Call 486-4924 for more information.     n Concord Baptist Church is having Vacation Bible School for children age 3 through grade 6 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, June 21 through Friday, June 25. Saddle up for Saddle Ridge Ranch™. Set among the stunning vistas and wide-open spaces of Big Sky country, Saddle Ridge Ranch is a place where kids can ask questions and discover the answers found in God’s Word. During their day at the ranch, kids will visit Worship Rally Valley and the Bible Study Bunkhouse. Around the ranch they will also experience; crafts at Blazing Star Stables, Missions at Firefly Cavern, Music at Campfire Creek, Recreation at Mustang Mountain, Snacks at the Big Sky Grill. The Church will wind up with a VBS Rodeo at Carter’s Arena, on June 25 at 7 p.m. for all ages. Come on out with your horses for this great event to finish this year’s VBS. Carter’s Arena is located at the corner of Hwy 345 and Hwy 347 in Chiefland.  Please call 352-493-1219 for more information.   n Rising Faith in Christ Church, established January 1, 2006, will be celebrating their fourth year of Ministry June 27 with Shawn Campbell of Hamilton, Ohio, as the guest Pastor/Evangelist. Revival will follow Monday-Tuesday June 28 and 29 at the Tommy Usher Center in Chiefland (Cedar Key Hwy. 345). Homecoming Service will be Sunday 11 a.m. Lunch will be served afterward. There will be no evening service. Monday and Tuesday revival services will be held at 7 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. For information contact Andrea Knuckles at 352-535-7712. Rising Faith in Christ Church is located at 411 N. Main Street, next to J.C. Penny.   n Starting June 28, Chiefland will be celebrating the 8th Annual Homeboys Revival under the direction of Elder Joseph L. Wilcox and Pastor Ronald Bryant. Many of our pastors, evangelist, and ministers who were all raised in the community will be returning to Chiefland for the Homeboy’s Revival. Each night of the week starting Monday, June 28, one of our homeboy’s will be ministering to the community in such a way that everyone will be spiritually edified. The Homeboy’s Revival committee cordially invites you and your congregation to attend all services starting at 7:30 p.m. nightly.  We are interested in using your sanctuary once again. Priscilla Scherrah will ascend to the pulpit on Sunday, July 4, at Bronson United Methodist Church and  as at Archer United Methodist Church. Because she will be ministering at two churches on Sunday morning, the Bronson services for Sunday school and morning Worship will be earlier than in the past. Sunday school will be at 8:45 AM and morning Worship will be at 9:45 AM. The congregation invites members of the community to join in welcoming our new pastor. For information call 486-2281.
