n Family Bible Chapel will be having a yard sale at 14 Main Street, Chiefland Thursday through Saturday, June 10 and 11 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and June 12 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., rain or shine.
Items for sale are church organ, large oak desk, books, knick-knacks, clothes and various items to numerous to mention. An instrumental CD, “Serenity”, by Sharon Cottrell and Deborah Taylor will also be sold.
Sales will be held in the church hall, entrance is in the rear of the church.
All proceeds will benefit the repairing of the church roof.
n The year 2010 marks the start of the Annual Homegirls’ Revival. This powerful move of God will be featuring Women of God, born, raised and reared here in Chiefland. Pastor Ronald Bryant (partner coordinator of the Annual Homeboys’ Revival) believes this to be the year for the women to come forth. Services are schedule for June 14-June 18 and services will rotate in location each night. Opening night is Monday, June 14 with Pastor Ronald Bryant at the Gospel of Truth Revival Center. Tuesday, June 15, Minister Shelia Rome will be at St. John Baptist Church of Chiefland. Wednesday, June 16, Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church will host with Pastor Lena Henderson. Sister Cheryl Williams will be at Mr. Pleasant Baptist Church on June 17 and closing night, June 18, Missionary Johnnie Lee Phillips will be at New Jerusalem Church of God.

n Stitches From The Heart is a nationwide group of volunteers that love to knit, crochet and quilt for needy babies and children. Unfortunately, many premature babies often go home from hospitals with little or nothing to keep them warm. They need volunteers to knit, crochet or quilt blankets, little sweaters and hats for babies in need.
These items are donated to hospitals all over the country. Patterns are available. Donated yarn is appreciated for our seniors. Stitches From the Heart has donated thousands and thousands of hand-made hats, booties, sweaters and blankets to more than 411 hospitals and charities around the country.
Stitches From the Heart is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation.
n Bronson COG celebrates God, Country
The Bronson Church of God is having their annual God and Country Day, July 4th. The event will kick off at 6 p.m. The event is open to the public and is free of charge.
There will be Gospel music, water games for all ages, bounce house, beanbag toss, a dunk tank with the pastor, volleyball, horseshoes, arts and craft sale, baked goods auction. Also we will have a contest for the “Best Decorated ‘Little Red Wagon’” for ages 4 and under. Hot dogs and refreshments will also be available.
The church would like to thank Kenneth and Kathy Bedford for helping make this day special by providing the fireworks. Please make this day safe by parking in the field located at the Bronson Church of God.

Saint Phillips Lodge 897 will be having a Saint John Day Program at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 310 SW 5th Street, Chiefland, on Sunday, June 13, at 5 p.m.
