n Joppa Baptist hosts "Day in the Lord"
Joppa Baptist would like to invite the public to attend a “Day in the Lord” on Sturday, April 24. There will be five pastors preaching throughout the day starting at 10 a.m. and continuing until 4 p.m. Come at any time. There will also be music throughout the day and a chicken dinner at noon. Everyone is welcome. Joppa is located at 7530 NW 165th St in Fanning Springs.
n Lighthouse youth hosts Infusion
The Young Adult Group at Lighthouse Word Church is hosting Infusion, a night of worship, Word, and fellowship on Sunday, May 2 at 7 p.m. at the church. This is an event designed for the young generation, by the young generation. Refreshments will be served afterward. A nursery will be provided. Call 493-1554 for more information.
n Harrells perform
The Harrells, a Southern Gospel family from Douglas, Ga., will perform in concert during the Sunday, May 2 service at 11 a.m. at Full Gospel Outreach Church, located 3 miles north of Chiefland. There is no charge and the public is welcome to attend.
n Church women's fellowship meets
The Church Women's Fellowship will meet on Tuesday, May 4, at the Levy County Quilt Museum, 11050 N.W. 10th Ave., Chiefland. Lunch will be served at noon. Come a little early to socialize with everyone. The cost for lunch is $6.00.
After lunch there will be a short program and more socializing. The program is open to all churches and to the public.

n Relief concert
Bring your lawn chairs to the Haiti Relief Concert at Turning Point Ministry, 16750 NW 60th Ave. (C/R 341), Trenton, Saturday, April 24, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. There will be bands, karaoke, a silent auction, drinking booth, food and fun.
The Silent Auction will be April 4 to April 24. During this time go by on Sundays 8:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. or call Tuesdays through Thursdays 9 a.m. to noon to place your bid. Bids start at $5 and go up to $500 depending on items from 60 plus different sponsors.
One hundred percent of all proceeds go directly to Haiti.
n Essay contest
The Bronson Church of God is sponsoring an essay contest for all area high school and middle school children. The essay must be 100 words, typewritten, and must tell, “Why My Mother is the Best.”
The prize will be dinner for the winners and their moms at the Ivey House in Williston. There will be one prize for a high school winner and one prize for a middle school winner.
