The Luther Callaway Public Library had a fun filled Christmas Party on Dec. 16. The children were encouraged to wear their pajamas for this special night time event.
The evening started with Jenny Rodgers, Youth Services Coordinator, reading The Florida Night Before Christmas by E.J. Sullivan while waiting for a special visitor. Then, Santa Claus walked in the library with a big smile, a huge bag and a loud "Ho Ho Ho".
Children were able to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas and have a picture taken with him. Santa gave each child a book to take home as a gift. During the event, there were reindeer hats to create, cookies to decorate and light refreshments to enjoy.
A special thank you to the Friends' of the Luther Callaway Public Library, Sue Ann Burkhardt, librarian and Lisa Brasher, library director, for all their hard work to make this event a success. And a big thank you to Santa for making a special visit to the library.
