Christmas magic

Lighted from behind, a child sits on Santa's lap during a brief visit from the Christmas gift giver at Bronson's annual Christmas in the Park event, which lasted about three hours Friday evening and drew dozens of families from the area. Town staff and several town council members were in attendance at the event, braving the cold, helping to prepare and serve food and setting up the equipment used to project the movie "Arthur's Christmas" on a large screen set up outside.

Council member Jason Kennedy said the event is in its fourth year.

"We wanted to do something that didn't cost the community anything," Kennedy said about organizing the event each year. "It's been a big success."
