On Sept. 22, the Chiefland Women's Golf Association played a game called "T's and F's", where only the nine holes starting with these initials count, minus one half the golfer’s handicap. The association had 17 ladies enjoying the slightly cooler weather along with the competition and great exercise.
Marilee Leonard took first prize in the First Flight with a net 33. Linda Buchanan won second with a net score of 35. Sandy Reed won the first prize in the Second Flight with a net score of 34, and Connie Galpin took second with a net score of 35. Lorraine Nickolls and Mary Lindsay both came in with a net 35 to tie for the third prize.
The Third Flight was won by Fran Ice with a net score of 35. Denise Boyle took second place with a score of 37. The association had three chip-ins on this day of play. Denise Boyle, Connie Galpin and Freida Martin all split this prize. Marilee Leonard had the only birdie of the day on the par-3 No. 15 hole.
