Chiefland woman dies Tuesday in crash

A 49-year-old Chiefland  woman died in a two-car collision at the intersection of County Road 346A and U.S. Highway 129 at 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Florida Highway Patrol press release.

Teresa Reed Riedel, 49, of Chiefland, died in the accident while Sandra Vanessa Elviro, 19, of Fanning Springs was seriously injured. Elviro was transported to Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
