Shannon April Brown, 30, 244th Street, Old Town, charged with retail theft less than $300. The incident report says Brown was detained by WalMart security after being observed putting merchandise in her handbag and exiting the store.
Michael Lee Williams, 50, of Chiefland, charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of cocaine. The police report says officers responded to a call about a reckless driver on North Young Boulevard and stopped the vehicle. After determining the driver was not under the influence, but just tired, the officer spoke with the passenger who said he did not have identification on him, but gave his name, birth date and Social Security number, the report says. A check revealed the outstanding warrants for failure to appear on the drug charges.
Jonathan Wayne Divers, 27, Northwest 16th Avenue, Chiefland, charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license. The report says Divers was stopped after failing to signal a left turn. When asked for his license, Divers said it was at home, but according to the police report it had been suspended for three years.
