Larry "Andy" Meeks Jr., 29, of Chiefland was arrested Thursday after dropping off his children at school by the Levy County Sheriff's Office Drug Task Force on charges of selling the prescription drug Oxycodone at his home, according to a Sheriff's Office press release.
Meeks is suspected of being Levy County's largest prescription pill dealer and of selling narcotics from his home for a number of years, according to the release. Agents purchased prescription pills from Meeks on several occasions.
During the investigation agents learned that Meeks had three children living with him, that he possessed a number of weapons and suspected him of using prescription pills which altered his mood.
After Meeks dropped his children at school, deputies stopped him at Northwest 120th Street at U.S. Highway 19 to arrest him on two counts of sale and two counts of possession of Oxycodone. He is also facing a charge of carrying a concealed firearm.
After the arrest, officers searched Meeks home and confiscated numerous firearms, prescription pills, a large amount ammunition and a large amount U.S. Currency.
