Pulling away late the Trenton High School varsity football team won at Chiefland 26-14 on Friday night. Trenton (10-0) finishes its second-consecutive undefeated season. The close loss spoils a strong Chiefland (5-5) Senior Night showing that saw nine players on the sidelines for their final game.
Chiefland slowed down the Tigers explosive offense in the first half, holding Trenton to only six points. Alphonso Timmons added a three-yard touchdown run for the Indians in the first half, allowing Chiefland to hold a 7-6 lead at halftime.
